Tasting Notes
2005 Merlot
Made from grapes grown at Fabbioli Cellars in Loudoun County, Virginia, this medium-bodied Bordeaux red is showing deep aromas of dark, wild cherries, roasty oak, and a hint of earthiness. Its smooth, fruity start gives way to a broad middle and complex finish. 18 months of aging in French oak and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon integrate Old World structure and tannic strength with flavors of Cherries Jubilee. This wine would be fabulous with a wheel of camembert sprinkled with dried cranberries, or a braised pork loin seasoned with rosemary.

2007 Chardonnay
You’ll first notice the fragrant floral aroma, then you’ll pick up on hints of ripe peaches and pears.  This crisp chardonnay was fermented and aged without oak to truly bring out the characteristics of the grape.  With a sophisticated balance of acidity, alcohol, and fruit flavors, this wine provides a unique complexity from the initial taste on the palette through the smooth finish.  Perfect for summer picnics, hors d’oeuvres parties and the fresh tastes of a summer menu.
